Award winning Australian Author, VALERIE VOLK at Barossa Ark, Saturday, 2 September 2023 at 10.00am
Valerie has published several hundred award-winning poems and short stories in journals and anthologies as well as 13 books covering historical fiction, biblical fiction including, “Bystanders’ (2015) and ‘Witnesses (2023), verse novels including, ‘A Promise of Peaches’ and ‘Passion Play, and other titles such as, ‘In Search of Anna’.
Her awards have included, the Caleb Prize for her book titled, ‘In Due Season’, and the Australasian Religious Press Association Award for ‘Best Feature Article of the Year’ for her account of the impact of the birth of a grandchild suffering from extensive birth marking. “‘Life,’ she says, ‘is never dull. Unpredictable, true – but there’s never been time to get bored.’ And that’s the way she likes it.”
THE INSTALLATION OF PASTOR ANDREW BROOK AS BISHOP OF SA-NT DISTRICT will take place on Sunday 3rd September at 2 p.m., Concordia College Chapel 24 Winchester Street Highgate SA 5063. This event is open to all those who wish to attend.
